Chantal Giraud van Gaver has recognised expertise in employment law, in both advisory and litigation matters. She has developed specific know-how in advising and defending senior executives and corporate officers, taking into account the particular features of their status, their position within the company and the complexity of their remuneration arrangements.

She acts in particular on the structuring and securing of remuneration schemes and management packages of varying forms, designed to align the interests of directors and officers with those of the shareholders and to encourage long-term value creation. The quality of her practice has been recognised on several occasions by the Best Lawyers ranking, which named her “Lawyer of the Year” in Employment Law in Paris in 2013 and 2017, and by Décideurs, which has consistently ranked her as a leading lawyer for the representation of directors and officers.

She also assists her clients in handling sensitive situations with significant human and strategic stakes, including complex individual disputes, international mobility and expatriation issues, as well as transition or exit phases. Chantal Giraud van Gaver is a founding member of Avosial, the trade union of in-house employment lawyers. She also took part in the creation of the Centre for Mediation and Labour Arbitration (CMAT), reflecting her commitment to alternative dispute resolution.

Partner at Coblence Avocats, she is admitted to the Paris Bar and holds a postgraduate degree (DES) in Employment Law (Université Paris I – Panthéon-Sorbonne).
